Fracking : The Costs and benefits
One of the most controversial issues in America today is, what the United States can do to become energy independent and how to do it. Fracking is one of the most controversial energy extraction sources of all, even more so than coal, and the use of nuclear energy. It is a process that can cause severe environmental damage if it's not regulated, and done improperly. However, if done properly, and under strict regulations, it is one of the most favored ways, out side of renewable energy, to help the US gain energy independence.
